Here comes the bride

No, not me, I don't have any news to tell! A friend from church met his wife (to be) earlier this year, and she is taking the HUGE step of moving from the city to become a country girl, a farmer's wife no less! Last weekend a dear friend hosted a kitchen tea for the bride-to-be, we had a lovely afternoon getting to know more about Kristy and her family and she will certainly be a welcome addition to our clan, lol! Enough from me about that, much better to tell the story with pictures (apologies in advance for the lack of quality of some of the pics and editing, this is a drive by blogging!!):

First order of the day was the cake decorating competition - after these beautiful creations, don't see why the bride and groom need to go to the trouble of having something made!!
